And now the other neighbour?
Jul. 19th, 2004 11:14 amWhat have I done to deserve such noisy neighbours?
After being disturbed yesterday by something I definitely didn't want to hear at 8am on a Sunday, I was woken at 2.30am this morning by the same neighbour having a loud conversation. Not impressed. Knocked on his door to ask him to keep it down a little. Not that asking helped. Must be a new neighbour - I'd never seen him before.
On a more positive note, we are soon to get Regency House Party on the ABC. I've been wanting to see it ever since I first heard about it - after all The Edwardian Country House was quite entertaining.
Other TV I've enjoyed recently is the Poirot series with David Suchet in the title role. Last week Toby Stephens and Gemma Jones were among the cast, last night Paul McGann and next week Lucy Briers (Mary Bennet from Pride and Prejudice). Unfortunately I missed the first one (Death on the Nile), but I'm sure that there will be a video/DVD once the series is finished. It's a pity it's so short (4 episodes), Poirot is my favourite Agatha Christie sleuth. Hopefully it has done well enough to warrant another series.
Has anybody read Bryce Courtenay's Jessica? Or my fellow Aussies seen the mini-series? I caught the last 30-40 minutes of Part I, but had forgotten to set my VCR for the start and am wondering what I missed out on. What I did see was Jessica's sister seducing Jack, etc. Mustn't miss tonight
